When The Austin Diagnostic Clinic (ADC), a multi-specialty clinic with more than 115 physicians representing 21 medical specialties at locations throughout Central Texas, opened its doors December 5 in Westlake, the timing was perfect for adults seeking help with their diet and weight concerns heading into the busy, and often stressful, holiday season.

ADC’s 9,000-square-foot Westlake clinic will be located in the Cielo Center at 1250 S. Capitol of Texas Highway, Building 3. It will feature specialty care as well as lab services. Medical specialties at the new location will include Cardiology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology and Urology.

The Westlake clinic also will offer weight loss programs, providing customized plans for individuals looking to lose weight and eat healthier in the New Year. Whether someone has 200 pounds to lose or just 20, ADC’s weight loss programs provide the lifelong skills necessary for health and weight management. Since it began in 1987, the program has assisted thousands of patients in reducing health risks, promoting rapid weight loss and teaching new skills to improve overall health.

“The holiday season can be especially hectic, with the associated running around, eating on-the-go, parties and social gatherings that can wreak havoc on one’s health,” said Maribel Rodriguez, Director of ADC’s weight loss program. “The best thing you can do to keep your stamina up and your stress down is to load up on healthy, filling and immunity-boosting fruits and vegetables, and make sure to find time for some physical activity each day.”

The physicians who will provide services at the Westlake location include: Cardiologist Kara Dlabal, MD; Dermatologist Stacia Miles, MD; Internalists Richard DeBehnke, MD; Jerry Hood, MD; William Lockett, MD; Raymond Paxton, MD and Liang Wang, MD; Endocrinologists Rachel Malish, CNS; Paul Moore, MD and Farheen Yousuf, MD; Gastroenterologists Thomas Liebermann, MD and Shuba Srinivasan, PA-C; Nephrologist Eileen Cook, MD; Neurologist Richard Tallman, MD; Pulmonologist Michael Schindel, MD; Rheumatologist Eduardo Cepeda, MD; and Urologist Joy Nielsen, MD.
