We are pleased
to provide you with a place just for women at The Austin Diagnostic
Clinic's Women's Imaging Center. Services previously
received at St. David's North Austin Medical Center are
available at ADC's Main Clinic, 12221 N. MoPac
Expressway, 3rd floor, south entrance.
Diagnostic services include the most advanced,
digital mammographic imaging for early detection of
breast cancer as well as ultrasound for obstetric,
breast and pelvic exams.

Mammogram
Preparations: To make your mammogram experience as comfortable
as possible, and to produce the most precise images,
we suggest the following preparations:
Wear
two-piece, comfortable clothing
Refrain from
using deodorant, lotions or powders around
the
breast and underarm
Please bring the
name of your primary care physician to your
screening mammogram
Mammogram Forms:
Save time at the office and complete your forms
before you arrive for your appointment.

Visit our quality report cards regarding ADC patients who
receive screening mammograms from the
Menopause Center and
OB/GYN.
Digital
mammography provides superior image quality and
clinical information
for your doctor.
Your
results will be read by a board-certified, Radiologist specializing in mammography.
There is always a radiologist on site for special consultations.
Both digital
mammograms and ultrasound results are delivered electronically - directly to your ADC
doctor's desktop.
Depending on your
insurance, scheduling your mammogram or
ultrasound
at the
ADC Women's Imaging Center may result in a lower
(or no) deductible.
If you had a
mammogram at another medical facility and
schedule your appointment with the ADC Women's
Imaging Center, our office will take
care of
obtaining your previous films at no charge.
Depending on your insurance, we are happy to schedule a
screening for second opinions.
Screening mammograms are available for same day/next day
appointments.
